The LCC Library is presenting a “First-Generation College Student” display during the month of November 2022. LCC is proud to recognize first-generation college students. If your parents/guardians do not have 4-year degrees, you are considered a first-generation college student. On November 8, 1965, the Higher Education Act was passed, expanding access to college for many people in the United States. There are many first-generation college students and November 8th is a day on which First-Gen students are recognized and celebrated. LCC wants you to know that you belong here and you are celebrated here.
LCC will be holding a “First-Generation College Student Celebration” event on November 8th from 11:00-1:00 in the Gannon Highway, and from 4:00-6:00 at West Campus. For more information click here
