Some essays in this book deal with difficult subjects, if you are feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, or need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to contact LCC Counseling Services. Where you can talk with a state-licensed, professional counselor for free as a currently-enrolled LCC student.

A Copy of the Book

Get a Free Copy to Keep:

This year, professors can request class sets for their students; additionally, employees and students who would like to read the book outside of course work, may pick up an individual copy at the Office of Empowerment (Arts & Sciences Building, Suite 1317). Professors should submit a class set request using this digital form (see button below). Free copies will be available at the start of each semester on a first come, first served basis. If we run out of free copies, or if you would prefer an ebook, you can borrow from the LCC Library.

To borrow a print copy, look in course reserves and the leisure reading collection and check out at the library's Help Zone.

Get an Accessible Copy from LCC:

Students and employees can get an accessible copy of the book by contacting Andrew George (georga14@lcc.edu) or the Center for Student Access (lcc-accessibility@lcc.edu).
