Universal Design for Learning

Universal Design for Learning

The goal of Universal Design for Learning is to thoughtfully design learning experiences so that as many different kinds of learners as possible can successfully participate. Essentially, you address potential accommodations ahead of time so that you do not need to do so later. The general benefits of applying this system are:

  • Efficiency in planning for the instructor
  • More varied and intentional learning experiences for all students
  • Improved accessibility and effectiveness for students with physical and cognitive differences
