The Salus Center serves Lansing’s LGBTQIA+ communities as a gathering space and information hub, and it advocates for the rights of our community members by honoring and affirming the interconnectedness of oppression.

Founded in 1979, the LAHR is one of the oldest LGBTQIA+ organizations in Michigan. The LAHR pursues justice and equality for LGBTQIA peoples through community-led advocacy, connection, and education.

PrideSource.com is published by Pride Source Media Group in Ann Arbor. Established in 1995, PSMG produces the award-winning biweekly LGBTQ+ print publication, Between The Lines, and the Pride Source news webpage.

Transgender Michigan’s mission is to provide advocacy, support, and education, while serving to create coalitions in the state of Michigan to unify and empower transgender and gender non-conformist communities.

EQMI educates and advocates to change Michigan laws and address issues that disproportionately impact LGBTQ+ lives throughout the state, as well as providing victim services.

The Human Rights Campaign fights for LGBTQ+ equality alongside lawmakers at the local and state levels across the country.

Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center (Ferndale, MI) has been the hub for southeast Michigan LGBTQ+ communities and it’s allies for the last 30 years. They provide a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities & expressions, and cultures can learn, grow, socialize and access the vital support they need.

The Grand Rapids Pride Center aims to be at the center of a vibrant and inclusive community that supports all LGBTQ individuals.

GIFT is a Grand Rapids organization that works to promote a healthy LGBTIA+ community actively engaged in strong faith communities.

"The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning young people." Their website has a great resource center.

"Lambda Legal is the oldest and largest national legal organization whose mission is to achieve full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work."

The ACLU works to ensure that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people can live openly without discrimination and enjoy equal rights, personal autonomy, and freedom of expression and association.

GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance. As a dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change. GLAAD protects all that has been accomplished and creates a world where everyone can live the life they love.

Every student has the right to a safe, supportive, and LGBTQ-inclusive K-12 education. GLSEN is a national network of educators, students, and local GLSEN Chapters working to make this right a reality.

Through advocacy, research, education, and support to grassroots organizations, OutRight works to combat the systemic violence, persecution and discrimination that LGBTIQ people face around the world.

Utilizing a diverse group of LGBT volunteers, the Help Center operates multiple hotlines that help both youth and adults with coming-out issues, safer-sex information, school bullying, family concerns, relationship problems, and a lot more.

Family Equality’s mission is to advance legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families, and for those who wish to form them, through building community, changing hearts and minds, and driving policy change.

Re:searching for LGBTQIA2S+ Health seeks to understand how LGBTQ2S+ people experience physical and mental health, and how they access health services.

InterACT uses innovative legal and other strategies, to advocate for the human rights of children born with intersex traits.

Bi.org works to connect bi people around the world and provide accurate, accessible, scientifically-sound information about (bi)sexuality.

As the oldest nationally-focused bisexual organization in the U.S., the BRC continues to raise awareness and build bridges within the LGBT and ally communities, and fosters bi-supportive social and political space wherever it can.

The National LGBTQ Task Force advances full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people through political advocacy.

The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.

Since 2003, the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) has been America’s leading national civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer+, and same gender loving (LGBTQ+/SGL) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS through coalition building, federal policy change, research, and education.

The Native Justice Coalition was formed with the intent of being a platform for healing, social, and racial justice for all Native American people. Their Two-Spirit program engages in decolonizing gender roles and identities within our Native and First Nations communities.

"Refuge Restrooms is a web application that seeks to provide safe restroom access for transgender, intersex, and gender nonconforming individuals. Users can search for restrooms by proximity to a search location, add new restroom listings, as well as comment and rate existing listings."

Them is the award-winning media outlet focusing on what LGBTQ+ means today — and tomorrow. From in-depth storytelling on the fight for LGBTQ+ rights to intimate profiles of queer cultural vanguards, it’s a platform for all of the bold, stylish, and rebellious ways that LGBTQ+ people are reshaping our world every day.

Allies — people who are not LGBTQ+ themselves — have done an enormous amount to advance the cause of LGBTQ+ equality. Use these resources to learn how to be an ally.

For over four decades, PFLAG has provided support to families and allies who are in need, through peer-to-peer meetings, online outreach, and telephone hotlines. PFLAG National also offers a huge variety of resources and programs that provide support for those in need.
