Kanopy Streaming Video: Home
Overview of Kanopy access models and how to navigate them and request films.
Due to rising costs, LCC Library has worked with Kanopy to curate a collection of videos to support LCC courses. Videos that are not part of the academic collection, will need to be requested.
Browsing and searching Kanopy will work similarly to the way it worked before. When you find a video you're interested in, click on the title. If the film is available, you will be able to play the video, if not, a request form will appear.
Titles available for immediate viewing:
Currently Licensed Titles are available for use until the license expires (one year from purchase).
Videos in the academic category which the library hasn't licensed. If these videos are viewed 4 times, they will automatically be added to the licensed titles.
Titles available on request:
Videos that do not fall in the academic category are now "mediated" and will need to be requested. If you try to play a film in this category, you will be presented with a form to fill out to request access to the video.
